You have to change the way you feel about it. If you think it is boring (which it probably isn't as you'll realise when you get older), then you wont want to do it - but if you try and take more of an interest in it, then you'll feel more enthusiastic. Maybe you should set up a reward for yourself so that once it is done you can do something you like to do, but don't let yourself get the reward until the work is finished. Also, it proably isn't that long an assignment. Have yo made a plan? It totally cuts down on the time you have to spend on it if you make a plan (and making a plan makes you feel you're getting work done). Set out your main objectives that you have to write about, and decide what order you have to put them into, and what information is needed, then throw in an introduction (this essay is about the.....) and a conclusion (this essay was about ......) and it's half the battle done there! Good luck!

With so many distraction these days it's easy to understand why anyone might lose their interest and sense of commitment. It might help if you take time to think about what exactly you want to do with your life, and then reflect on what you need to do to achieve that. I don't know whether or not you like football, but it's a useful analogy: to score a goal, which is the primary objective, you set your sights on the goal mouth and the 'journey' to that position. You know what you want at the end of the day, go for it!
Good luck, J

just pay attention try and think of something you want to be when you leave school, and then find out what you need to do to get there, then if you want it that much you'll soon find your grades will get much higher and that you can become more determined towards your homework......... GOOD LUCK :)

You should first be interested in your assignments. Find new things and facts about your homework.

There are many methods. Such as, you can relax if you finish it, you can use the computer if you finish it, you can go have fun if you finish it, etc. Just know that you'd be free once you finished it.
And further more, your parents might praise you

cram does not pay.

Think of it this way, if you don't do well in school, your future will look pretty dismal. We have to do things we don't want to.
