No in any sport you play to the ref or umpire in this case. If you are refering to tonights match he didn't hit the ball and I don't think McMillian has any right to complain considering he clearly nicked the ball earlier in his innings. You have to take the good with the bad in cricket.

Mike Hussey is not a cheat, it is not his problem if the umpire gives him not out in these cases. As has been mentioned by himself and a number of others, you take the good with the bad. In the next game he might be given out to one he didnt nick, or LBW when he hit it, its all part of the game.

Good point made earlier - McMillan is a bit hypocritical when he reacted the way he did when you consider he has now twice been given not out in matches against Australia when he has nicked them - yesterday, and also in the 2nd innings in the Brisbane test in 2004 - that one was even more obvious.

Gilly sets a good example by walking, but his dismissal in the last Ashes test highlights the folly of it - you know he walks if he knicked it, and Billy Bowden gave him out to one he clearly didnt hit.

Hussey - a perthboy. Respect!

Huss is no cheat, he's just too good for the poms and kiwis. My advice, learn how to **ck'n bowl!

Seriously though, Huss is a great batsman, even you have to realise that! It's just a shame that he hasn't had a chance before this to really shine. I have been following his career in WA for a while, and let me tell you, Huss is the real deal.

WAT!!! Hussey IS NOT A CHEAT
he accepts the right and wrong decisions and doesn't make a fuss of it. if he's given out when he's not he'll leave without carrying on, if he's not given out when he thinks he should probably be (close decisions and stuff) he'll stay and do the best for his team. :D

MOST players aren't walkers though, so i think that jsut because he has told the truth and be honest about it doesn't mean hes any more of a cheater then anyone else.

:) what do u think?

Asking is Hussey a cheat is like asking are all cricket players cheats.

Every player, some time in their cricketing innings has been given a 'life' by the umpire.

It is not up to the batsman to say whether he thinks he is out or not. That is why we have umpires and the '3rd eye'.

No. Its all up to the umpire in cricket. They are under no obligation to walk.
