Hi there.

First, you need to check if yoru sound card drivers are correctly installed.

Second, you need to check if it's selected. To do this, Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Click on Advanced button under Volume tab, Click on Options menu, choose Properties, under "Adjust volume for" box .. click on the white box saying Recording, underneath .. the white list box refreshes and scroll down till you see Microphone and tick it. Click OK.

You can access this box if you have the speaker icon down next to your clock bottom right hand corner of your screen.

Hope this helps

What are you trying to use it with? What program... sound recorder or somthing else? Some mics do not always work with computers, you will need a program that recognizes that you have a microphone.
