For the benefit of Mr. Kite,
Compared to other Beatles movies...Well they were high pretty much during the whole filming of the film (according to the Beatles Anthology dvd interview). It must have been difficult to edit together because half the scenes were done according to the whimsy of the band members ("I've never been to Jamaica, let's film a scene there...now let's film a scene skiing...) Despite that, the film was quite funny. I liked "A Hard Day's Night" more because it was funny without being quite so rediculous. "Magical Mystery Tour" is my least favorite Beatles film, and "Yellow Submarine" shouldn't even be considered since it was impersonators doing the voices of the animated Beatles.
The Professor's sidekick was Algernon.

I saw it many years ago. It was cute. It wasn't their best. I don't remember that name. I only remember Ringo talking to Paul(I think), saying..." That's not your grandfather! I've seen your grandfather. He lives in your house!"
