I like traffic wardens. Anything that winds up motorists is fine by me. If it wasn't for traffic wardens doing their job, Britains towns and cities would grind completely to a halt instead of nearly to a halt.
The problem is there are too many cars on the road - and too many people who think that laws designed to keep traffic moving don't apply to them.

It really pains me to say this but at the end of the day though they are just doing their job!
My brother was a traffic warden for a while... he left because of the abuse he received from people who, like yourselves, didn't like him doing his job. He used to say "Its good to have a traffic warden around when there's a car blocking your space but when its you whose in the wrong then all traffic wardens are Dix right?"
If she had already started to write it then she had to do it, but if she had only just noticed (and if u were 10 secs late) then maybe she was a bit harsh!
At the end of the day though, not all traffic wardens are as caring as my bro and will do anything to meet their targets etc.... maybe you were just really unlucky!

Yep totally find them annoying. I bought one of their tickets for parking my car put it on the dash and then went shopping. By the time I had come back I had a ticket? I found out that as I shut the door behind me the wind had blown my ticket over. I tried to dispute the fine but they were having not of it.
One of the most hated breeds on the planet....

I think these people are usually rookies on the job and trying to score brownie points, but unfortunately we have to pay the stupid tickets they leave behind, so now a days I am very careful with parking anywhere where those meter maids are.

Just the other day I 'heard' some lady yelling and cursing at a parking meter person, cause they gave her a ticket while she was sitting in her car. She kept yelling " I can't believe it, I can't believe it your giving me a ticket while I'm in my car"

I would have dropped the ***** there and then, its worth paying a fine to floor one of these pricks. They should all be castrated in public when they join the service.
