1) Yes I would feed it temporarily.
2) I wouldn't ignore it.
3) I wouldn't "shoo" it.
4) I would examine it (see if it had collar or was injured) to see if it had an owner or needed immediate medical attention.
5) I wouldn't keep it, but I would get it healthy while I was looking for an owner or new owner.
6) Taking it to a shelter would be my last resort.

5) Keep it, that is why I have 5 cats now, I love them all and they are so spoiled, after being outside in the cold and hot, they definitely have a great life now. 4 were ferals and one was just dropped off by some jerk. I also feed the ferals on our property, been doing so for years, they are also very important in my life. There are no dogs around here, or I would feed them, too. My heart goes out for animals that people cast out into the streets to survive on their own. Now where is my 10 points? LOL Just kidding. I love animals, seriously. :)

Feed it, examine it (take it to the vet if necessary), post a "found" add in the paper, and if no one claimed it, I would find a suitable home for it....I am a sucker for the defenceless!!

I get strays all the time I think I have a sign out the front of my house that says soft touch inside strays welcome. I usually take them to the vets to see if they are microchiped. If they are hungry I usually give them something to eat and drink before i take them.
