Why is it people come on to Yahoo answers, ask asinine and hateful questions about politics, or the war in Iraq, or spirituality, or what ever, and only want nodding drones who agree with them to answer?
They don’t want to debate, they don’t want anyone with a reasonable argument and they sure don’t want to be contradicted.
So what’s the point, if they are only going to reward the people who agree with what ever bile they spew?
Now for the record I am talking about both sides of the arguments. I see it comeing from both sides and from every direction.
Ok, it has been asked, and I expect to see a lot of pointless and rude insults.
But I hope there are at least a handful of people who can discuss this question reasonably.

Not to hard to spell when you have spell check or at least a high school education.
Fortunately I have Spell check and a College level education.
=)
And No I do not want nodding drones. I just have a feeling there are more people on Yahoo questions with independent minds, rather than nodding yes men and I would like to hear from them.

Gonzo, it's not just left wing bomb throwers out there. I see plenty of Right wing bombs flying around too you know.
But sadly as a highlight to you point, on a different question I had asked about Cigars, some one attacked me personally and questioned my sexuality (it didn't offend me, I am very comfortable with my sexuality), because of my conservative (I am actually a moderate) political stance on a number of his questions, when it had nothing to do with the question or topic I had asked.
And yet he didn’t bother to answer this question. Odd… *sarcasm*

I applaud you for spelling "asinine" correctly. The only group that outnumbers the "pathetic-rhetorical question" group is the "I never passed eighth-grade spelling" group.
As for your statements, I agree. They throw on a poorly thought, bias question, which has no true answer, and wait for others of similar personalities & political views to answer them, generally with some sort of "witty" answer.
The main problem with these questions? The same ones have been asked over and over and over and over again...
I have one quick bit of advice for those who use this site, especially this section, to spread their thoughts and rant and rave about what's going on in the news. For these people, I have one bit of advice... get a blog.

Most of the answers given to your question are already right on the mark.
I just want to add: Whenever I ask a pointedly "liberal" question (as I am "pointedly liberal--to the max!), I really want to know what the conservative view is! I don't understand a lot of the thinking that goes on, on the "other side". I HAVE had some really good answers, that have made me think! But usually I just get some jack@ss answer that questions my intelligence or patriotism. This type of reply just solidifies my point of view as it makes me think that my political opponents have no real answer--just spouting the "party line" as they see it.
A serious answer requires some thought, a concept that some seem not to recognize or understand.
Oh well, welcome to the world od Y!A Politics!
As for getting a blog...I think that too many of the "ask-ers" are afraid that no one would see it. On Answers, they are sure to be seen by a good portion of their "enemies", which will provoke angry responses that they can point to and say "Aha! see what I mean", or like-thinking drones who will just stroke their egos.
A sad state of affairs...but not unlike the two-party system that "runs" our country.

Because like it or not everyone likes to be heard. Also the anonymity of it all lets people be as rude as they can be. Now if this is how they all are for real in the flesh....the world is in serious trouble. Even I will come up with an off the cuff remark when I see a ridiculous question.

There are a lot of possibilities as an answer to this: Some really want to publish their view, and anyone who answers otherwise is reported to the committee which censors the answers. Some want to earn points, some want people to remember them, whatever.

Because 90% of askers are leftists who can only function with nodding bobblehead-like drones for answerers. As soon as logical dissent is brought up, they screech, and scream "I'm melting! I'm melting!! Ohhhh what a world what a world!!"
This is usually due to the fact that most leftists are priveleged college students who have had their shining white heinies kissed for the first part of their young lives, and their wiring is incapable of processing disagreement.

The same reason news agencies post headlines on their stories like "is so-and-so an incompetant leader"
because people use questions to say things they would get flak for saying as a statement.
Like saying "are you drunk?" instead of saying "you are drunk"

They want to make a statement. How difficult is that? You have the right to rebuttal. An argument requires more conversation. Isn't that the basis for all that goes on here?

Because all they are bothered about is trying to force their own thoughts on others.
Some are also insecure in those thoughts/beliefs and see it as an opportunity to get affirmation from others who feel the same was as they do, and will ignore anyone who thinks differently.
