you can increase or decrease brightness as and when you want. It is particularly different when you are using in day time and during night time when ambient light is low and you would like to reduce the brightness.
There should be a function key on the keyboard to increase and decrease brightness. If there is none then you can do it by
right clicking on the desktop > select properties > Settings > Advanced > Color >
There is option to increase/ decrease brightness, Gamma, and contrast. Try with different settings to get the most suitable display. When you are satisfied then click on apply, press ok. You can change these settings as many times as needed.

There should be a brightness setting on one of the keyboard keys.
I believe on the Dell Inspiron 6400, this can be done by pressing the Function Key and the Up Arrow cursor button.

I do not know off the top which optionsa are available for your Dell model model but there are generally at least one of three options to modify the power setting. One, there are utilities often included with a laptop that allow you to change the power saving modes - screens, hard disk... There are also sometimes utilities enbedded in the control panel that let you change this. There are also sometimes options in the BIOS setting that allow you to make adjustments to the power saving features.

i'm giving consistent with my own reviews. rather you are able to connect over to the main important skill whilst the battery IN, purely for charging a flat battery. once you have carried out charging the battery to finished (a hundred%), unplug your workstation from the main important skill, and use the battery on my own. etc etc...the completed cycle. in case you have an entire a hundred% battery fee in whilst hook up with vast skill, over a protracted volume of time, that's going to shorten the final existence of the battery. desire this answer help.

It has two diffrent screen brightness settings. When unplugged hit(function key) Fn+up this will brighten the screen, it will also remember this for next time.
