Please, try not to answer from the anglo-centric viewpoint, and consider also other countries that exist on earth (e.g. european countries)... Try also not to use common myths (e.g. "Canada or Australia is the best place to live in"...etc.)
Please note, if you REALLY THINK (based on your own experience or thoughts) that Canada or Australia are the best places to live in...please, go ahead and answer accordingly... I meant not to use cliches or stereotypes to answer this question I posed... Thanks!!!

the only best place to live is in the hand of God.I'm sure other christians will agree to me....every where i go there are crimes.like when i had a holiday in certain place,i was walking on the street and then here comes the pick-pocket (snatchers).
Here in Europe (Ireland) you can read the newspaper about crime.and only yesterday there was robbery, road accident almost everyday.there was killing also and even innocent people were involved.number one crime now in Ireland is drug...
everywhere we go there is danger.

This is such a subjective question that really has no answer unless you qualify it with a "for you" at the end. From my travels,it seems that the Scandinavian countries have achieved an admirable plateau of civilization. But it's too damn cold up there.
So for me, I would go to Costa Rica. These folks had the good sense to disband their army way back in the 60s I think. That to me says a lot about a country, and the weather is great too.

Sweden, France, (not Switzerland), others. Why!!!: all from some personal experience and from objective measures. Don't want to bear down on the dishwater notion that all things are relative, but after having lived on the ground and locally for several years in a very different culture, they had wonderful freedoms and advantages we (nor Europeans) do not have or can even be aware of. But I found out that the US is in solid first place, as astonishingly stupid and violent on average as we are. Maybe it's just me.

I am a urban girl so I prefer to have cities to where i am living in and i like tropical wheather and the beach so singapore is the logical choice for em even though its not glamorous as maldives or the carribean.
