From your mouth to God's ears and I hope so too. But in the meantime keep fighting against it. However you will always have preferences and that is fine when it comes to your personal likes but to hate is wrong and always will be wrong.

Every person on the planet is a shade of brown to one degree or another. Some lighter and some darker. This race has many different cultures. We are the human race. I pray a day will come when the majority holds these beliefs. I am considered a "white" American. This label isn't correct. I am simply a lighter brown than some and a darker brown than some.
A day will come when this is true my friend. The bible promises this. God Bless

People take pride in who they are whether it is justified or not. I don't think it is wrong for anyone to have pride in their color or nationality.

The truth is there are cultural differences that are reinforced that tend to separate people. As long as this is true there will be some tension in the feeling of otherness. I like most people I talk to on a one to one basis but often people have a different persona when in a group they identify with and that group is inherently going to reject whatever is not of the group.

In order for your perfect world to exist we need to eliminate the sub groups and reinforce only the all group. To do this would destroy much of what feeds growth. it is the interaction of ideas that do not blend that leads to new ideas. In the human condition what you seek would be stagnation.

Well, for starters, we can ask different questions than those posed in the early 1960s. Really. People act like having a few talks is going to solve all our problems. Ain't happened in 6 decades, sure as hell ain't gonna happen soon.
The world is NEVER going to be a wonderful peaceful place. If it ain't racism, it's something else. People have differences. Always have, always will. It just sucks that some stoop to violence, or even "softer" forms of bigotry.

I think no matter how different everyone is, we should really, take interest into learning about different cultures, races, religions, and just be open to different ppl. Sorry to say, but as long as hate exists, racism will too. As long as ppl judge others, everyone can feel racist, especially when you stereotype someone, and judge someone b4 you know them. I'm not racist, but I know I can be offensive at times, especially to my bf, who's 100% white. Well it in a way feels justified sometimes cuz every race except white has a vulgar term for white devil, but i know it makes him feel bad. Personally, I like being around ppl who are different from me cuz you learn about different lifestyles, music, food, and other fun things. It's a good way to understand why ppl are the way they are. I just think the key thing ppl must think about is respect. =)

Man if that could only happen in our life time. We humans are a sinful and vain group. We pick what we don't like today and change it tomorrow. If it were not the color of a person's skin, it would be their eyes or hair. If they were the same then it would be if they were from the north or the south. I know it will change when our savior returns. Whoa be it to anyone who uses the word hate then. Live in his light.

education is a key, intragration in the schools has helped alot, people of color like you and I have to be extra careful not to reverse discriminate as well, which is a dificult thing to do at times, espically when we are with people of our won race and a white person attempts to enter the conversation. But its by individual to individual that things do change

How about the old phrase: "Do unto others..."

I know, some people might not want to hear it because of where it comes from, but, regardless, it makes total sense.

I also agree, we need to stop talking about it so much, and stop putting labels on people.

It is a complicated matter. There are many racists in the world, not to mention fanatics in different religions.

I'd say it would be a crime to make racism a crime (though it technically is if it turns into violence). Forcing people to think certain ways just isn't right. No one should be allowed to try to manipulate someone else's mind, just because they think differently.

I'm not for racism, but I'm for people being able to speak their mind, no matter how much it offends me. It's their right to use their mouth how they see fit.
