Mousse foundations are your best bet. They are really light on your skin and has a cooling sensation. Powder to creme foundations are not good if you are prone to spots because they have a ingredient that feeds on bacteria on your skin
Also never use powder after cream foundation as it jus becomes blotchy. Especially blusher.

first of all you need the right shade that suits you, always use a moisturiser first, as it goes on smoother, only use a small amount, about enough to cover a 5p is plenty, smooth gently in circles, being careful to blend in especially around jawline, its best to finish off with a matt powder, hope that helps

If you go to your nearest MAC counter there are many men there that can help you. Its all fashion to them, and they are open to any sex. I had a good friend (who is a male) who worked there so I know they are cool people. BTW I use the MAC studio fix which is awesome. Try www.maccosmetics.com
