the two questions have nothing to do with each other. what america will or will not do, no one knows -including the circumstances the dangers, the response, when, what --political and economic considerations plus ecological concerns etc. re. iranians people--while the question does not need an answery, for your concern "yes" most people of most nationalities are basically good people --this generalizations does not help many people..understand where the conflicts lie. hope it does help.

Attacking Iran would mean WW3 for believe me when I say that although the Sunni Arabs don't always see eye to eye with the Shiite Iranians, they'll get the message that the world is trying to demonise and impose their systems and values on the Muslim World particularly on the Arab nations and they will retaliate. Syria and even Jordan and Egypt would not just watch this time. Surely, I hope that this war will never happen. I'm merely illustrating the worst case scenario which considering everything, will likely happen if US does invade Iran.

I've met many Iranians in and outside America and everyone of them has appeared to be a nice person to me. Every one of the Iranians I've met are not happy with the present system of government. It is a Fudamentalist Islamic Republic. In other words, the religious clergy have the real power in Iran. The laic government can not do anything without the approval of the religious leaders.
Every Iranian I met loves their country, but are sad that they allowed a fanatical religious minority seize power

We really don't have a quarrel with Iranians themselves, in fact there are a growing number of them who would like a new government.
What the world certainly does not need is a legitimate government that openly supplies terrorist activity all over the world developing nuclear weaopns.
This alone is grounds for invasion and regime change.

Leave Iran alone and it will straighten itself out. The US should take care of their own problems, instead of messing up other countries.

It is not so much people as ideals which bring about conflicts. when global communications has allowed many like minded thoughts to congregate . talking through the crowd, i could say more of the subject but you might erase my answer.

iranians are good people with a bomb that can kill and a drive to force people to think the way they do. thinking a problem like this will go away brought us al qaeda and jihad. the point is what to do now.
