I'm trying to bring my code up to standard, the Xhtml page validates but when I try to validate my external style sheets I get warnings (warnings, but not errors) about button colors and anchor background colors being the same, thats kinda screwy cause those are the colors that I want, and also the body scrollbar attribute seems to be invalid, but it works in all the browsers.
Can some one explain if the same colors for different items on the style sheet is a major problem and if it is are there any ways to work around it.

Sometimes validation complains are because of compatibility issues with certain browser(s). You can choose to ignore such warnings at times, unless its an error. Incompatibility with certain browsers is a common phenomenon.
