What do you do first if the lights/power goes out?

4&5 then onto 1 if I can't do anything about 1 then I go to 3 and then maybe 2 while I wait:)

Well, more than likely, you'll want to check the fuse box, to see if it tripped or if it was a power failure. To do that, however, you'll first need a flashlight.

However, once you've established that it's an outage (and it wasn't just your dryer), the first thing you'll want to do is turn on your porch light. This way, when the power crews are out working on the lines, they'll be able to tell (by the lights) who definitely has power and who doesn't.

First I yell, "Aww Sh*t!" or something like that, which works to turn the power on again in a few seconds most of the time.

If not, I sit and wait a little bit. All the stuff on the list get done eventually if the outage lasts more than a couple of minutes. If it's night one of the first things is to look outside to see how widespread the outage is.

First fumble around trying to find #4. Then #6 is lighting our wood stove. Then get some candles and do #5. If it is more than an hour, we then go to #2

3) Call the power company. If I lose electricity, I lose every function of my house. I have no heat/AC, no internet, no light, and I can't cook. Without these things, I am pretty much stuck.

Try to turn on the telly. Then say: ok, its not starting, I'd better watch some videos ... and after figuring it out, go to the kitchen to put the electric kettle on !!! hahaha

do you recognize what makes a circut breaker ruin ? it may basically look after lots skill being taken by it at one time ! you have too many stuff plugged into it ! turn some thing OFF !!!!
