A few days ago there was a full moon. It lit up the sky and my neighborhood. Combined with the absolute silence of the night I felt like I was in some kind of fairytale story and I felt like I was able to just take off and fly away. Instead I just stood there watching it speechless.

Two days ago my roommate did not understand why he had to pay rent while he was on vacation for a month. He said it didn't make any sense for him to help pay for me to have the apartment to myself. He said, "I have an extra $500 but that's for my plane ticket to Europe 3 weeks after I get back from the first vacation" (His rent is $480) -This was after I spent about 20 minutes explaining that people have to pay the rent if they go on vacation because they want to have a home to come back to.
THEN, last night he called me and said he needed to know our address. All he knew was the apartment number. He didn't know the number of the building or the NAME of the street because the building is on a corner. He has lived here for more than TWO YEARS.
