Because people seek power, and to do that they need followers. To get followers they need an enemy to unite the followers behind them. This is usually done by abusing that chosen enemy in some way.
Those who are abused take umbrage, and a person among them sees a similar path to power by reversing the process. Suddenly you have a full conflict going back and forth till nobody can figure who started it, but the main beneficiaries are the "leaders" on both sides who each helps the other.
Those most likely to inflame the situation are called Authoritarian personalities, and there has been extensive research done on them. They are almost exclusively on the rightwing side of the political spectrum. Because of these traits they are easier to organize to create their mayhem, but they are the source of evil on all sides of conflicts.

We can't all get along because there is more then one opinion. Opinions are the root of all violence. As long as there are two people with different views on something there will be fighting.

hey men you are really good and you should be in power so u can turn this world to paradise...
but i doubt you will make it, me and you and many others they don't know how politicians think and how those multibillionnaires are planing the future of our world...we are just poor creatures who should study to get a job then work for the rich to get richer then we will get retired and we ended ...so the question still there why can't we get along?
i believe that all races are one race, all believes are one belive all humain have same father and mother we definatly can get along if there is no devils
i never wish to be a king or president and i 'm sure you also never tought of it, so our aim is to live easy life simple and happy financially with family and friends.

Cultures will never get along. Since the caveman days, man has been fighting with each other. It will never change. It will continue until technology becomes such that radically thinking people can make very powerful weapons then really bad things can be expected.
It's so very sad.....

Ever since life has existed it has begun to compete with itself. Our mot basic instincts are survival, passing on our DNA and giving our offspring the best chances as possible.
We want a partner with attractive characteristics so that our offspring will have those characteristics, hence we want power. We want to give our offspring the best possible education, hence we want power. We want to survive and have an insurance which can guarantee our constant survival, hence we want power.
Therefore, we fight for power and are always competing. In the animal and human kingdom, competition would be generally, better for the gene pool and survival of the species.

All living things fight. Everything competes-- even plants! The big ones deprive little ones of their sun. Strong plants overgrow the weak ones. That's just nature. Too bad!

Yeah man! why can't we indeed? it's hard to do it these days. Everyone loves their own ego and they will do anything to protect it. In my point of view, where there is love, understanding comes in and it means letting each other voice their issues and don't look back where they left off. Start again.

"opinions"....leads to fighting. No one wants to allow that they may be wrong. Negative attitudes about opinions sparks a fire every time.

cuz if there is no conflict there is no death and if there is no death there is overpopulation. that is the reason god wanted us to create warfare. think how many people have died in the earths time. if there were no wars there be a lot of people just breeding.
