i made about 30 different kinds of cookies for christmas every year. all from scratch. i use a lot of different flavored chips, raisins and nuts. also i use jam or preserves, also home made, for filling in some. good luck, now i'm hungry for cookies, lol.

here's the secret....the temperature of the butter. Make sure it is at room temperature and creamed properly before adding the sugar. Then, after all mixing is done, place the dough in the fridge for about an hour before baking. Also, bake at 325 instead of 350 which allows time for checking the doneness. Favorite add-in is a single half of a pecan on top of each cookie half way through baking....good luck

Hard/chewy, cooked , chocolate chocolate chocolate. Yes I make 'm from scratch, I love cooking and baking and all that come with preparing food. And the temp. of the butter is indeed very important.

I like them soft and chewy. The only cookie I buy packaged is Oreos. I make the others from scratch.

Hard and crisp on the outside, chewy in the middle. Peanuts would be my favourite thing to put in. They would probably need to be unsalted.
