We could solve every problem if everyone in the world would just follow the Golden Rule!
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!
In all situations, we would be fair, compassionate, and understanding.
This is a pipe dream though, because there has always been strife in mankind and no matter what technical advances we make, our humanity will never measure up!
It would be Wonderful though!

Poverty has different definitions in different societies. Let us consider one who does not have means to basic needs of Food and shelter as poor. For a large population, like that in India, is being deprived of the same; the problem becomes huge. No amount of charity will solve this permanently. This can be solved by providing gainful employment alone. Each man/woman should be provided with opportunity and means to work/produce something which is sold or used. For that the primary need is to have some skill/ability and a market which is willing to avail it. Rapid industrialisation is one of the cure. This portion can be taken care of the industry. Making the people skilled/capable for the jobs generated by industry ( when they do it) becomes the responsibility of governments. Literacy and education should be treated as two different items. When our industry is growing at a this rate and if it continues for some more time, we are going to need lots and lots of skilled workers. Well what are we doing about it ?? Once we answer these questions we might find an answer to the main one too.

One should apt to do any work without feeling prejudice.Should feel work is worship and consider it as a dignity of labour. Has to control un-necessary expenditure to save the money.Part a small amount of money to utilise for the needy people.Each one teach one.If the process continue with every-person,we can see heaven on earth.

Nothing ... Millions are already given to these causes and nothing changes.
The only way things will change is if those within these catagories are willing to make a change instead of taking a handout.
You can not help people who will not make a change for the better themselves !!

To remove poverty, basic requirements of the people should be fulfilled.
To remove unemployment, more job opportunities should be provided by the government.
To remove illetracy, more institutes and educational centres should be opened.
All the three are inter-linked and population growth is the major factor.

With more evolved people, none of these are a problem....
So just help people to 'evolve' into better human beings. Action, as needed by the situation would pour out of them.
