'according to ' should always be followed by a noun or pronoun.as usual there is an exeption to the rule furnished above.the term should never be followed by 'me'.whenever one intends to use 'me' one can put it this way : 'in my opinion the statement is wrong.'

"In my opinion, the statement is incorrect."
"The statement" is the subject. "The statement is incorrect" is the main clause. You should put a comma after 'opinion'.

If you wish to use the words "according to", you could say "According to my way of thinking, the statement is incorrect."
