I am sure You know the working. But I am here to comment on GINKO answer.
Homeopathy is not a placebo effect.
First of this theory of placebo effect was based on test done by allopathic doctors. They put a person on homeopathy and found that he got cured. But they could not "track record or recognize" the reaction or the progress of the patient. Since they could not find out how it reacted they deemed it as a placebo effect and people blindly believe it.
I think the research rather proves that allopathic medicine still doesnt know how the body works properly and that is why were not able to find out how homeopathic medicine "actually" works.
The placebo effect should be proved by double testing.
I say that they should place one group of people on homeopathy and another group on placebos and then check who gets cured.
Homeopathy works on the body's reponse. It uses many techniqes to cure patients.
One of it is to activate the bodys immune system by giving small amounts of the drugs that would bring out the similiar symptoms and when the body fights with that then it learns how to fight with the actual disease thus curing it forever.
Modern medicine just tries to attack the symptom.
Infact modern medicine has never tried to cure the disease. They just tackle the symptoms and our body does the rest.
That is why modern medicine is unsuccesful in many case which homeopathy can cure.
Modern medicine is product of greedy pharmaceuticals companies. They just want to make money so they never do research to cure a patients forever. They would like the patient to keep coming back to them.
These pharmacutical companies dont like if any other form medicine tried to cure patients becuase they are scared that they will have to close down. So They are always spreading false information about hemoepathy and ayurveda.

It works on the placebo effect which means that it does not work even though it does. Placebos (sugar pills) have healed people of every disease know to man. MDs know all about placebos and that is why they do not take others seriously.

The princlples go against common sense and chemistry. For example the less cayenne pepper you put in a food, than the hotter it will be. That is homeopathy. I went to a homepathic event to network. It was mostly middle-aged women.

See the site below. It has phytochemicals that the U.S. Dept. of Agrciculture has found in foods that help with health problems. it is based on chemistry and lists the concentrations so you know which are the most powerful. Homeopathy teaches that if you have $200 to your name that is a lot better and more powerful than having $20,000 TO YOUR NAME since it has better vibrations.

As you are probably aware, homeopathy is a subtle lifeforce energy medicine modality: this is why traditional Western Medicine cannot ascertain the mechanism of its effects.

The molecular "signature" of organic chemical compounds alters the molecular alignment of "blank slate" carrier fluid molecules, kind of like how film is altered when a camera's shudder opens.
Paradoxically, the weaker the infusion, the greater the therapeutic effect of the "realigned" carrier fluid. This effect, called "potentiation", is believed to be due to the increasing ability for the water to attract and hold lifeforce energy according to the "energy signature" of the remedy.

Water's properties as an excellent medium, amplifier, and storage space for lifeforce energy are purported in many energy healing traditions, including Reiki, Grandfather of modern hypnosis Anton Mesmer's "charisma" healing, and the recently synthesized method known as Quantum Touch. A Japanese scientist Dr. Emoto developed a method which created fascinating crystal patterns based on exposing distilled water to certain words, music, or pictures; freezing it and photographing the crystalization patterns. Photos of the patterns for words like "love" and "peace" were symetrical patterns resembling works of are; patterns for words like "hate" and "war" were shown to be asymmetrical and unattractive. Many believe that thoughts and symbols project qualities of energy representative of their meaning. This is thought to be related to the potentiation effect purported in homeopathy.

The originators of some of the newe energy psychology techniques (e.g. the Tapas Acupressure Technique [TAT] www.tatlife.com ) believe that thought is the most basic thing any thing can be reduced down to, and has the highest potential for healing when combined with lifeforce energy.
