hi.my eldest I started on rice cereal a t 2 months for the same reason. It was iether that or have a rolly polly fat baby LOLmy daughter didnt start until four months and my breastfed youngest didn't start solids until 6 months, he was happy iwth milk only for ages. Each baby is different.
BTW the two teaspoons lasted about 2 days with my son, he was a pig loved food LOL I eded up adding 2 tsp of puree apple with it as well for a few weeks, then went to twice a day, but he did all the right things, it didn't upset his tummy and he slept well.
good luck.
enjoy the fun and the mess LOL

You should check with your nurse, WHO recommends no solids before 6 months and egg white is not recommended before 12 months due to allergies. When you start eggs, you start with the yolk first. 2 months is too young for cereal, breastmilk or formula should be all that's needed. If he/she is still hungry, put more in the bottle or feed more frequently. Babies have a growth spurt every 5-6 weeks so that could be happening now. I started my 2 on rice cereal at 6 months.

My daughter was 6 months old before the introduction of any solid food and rice cereal came first for her. Until 6 months she was fully breastfed on demand.

I have been feeding her very wattery rice cerial for about 4 days now and it is great....

If you do not breastfeed your baby you can feed them with two teaspoons of farex rice cereal mixed from formula milk around two mths old, if breastfed usually no other feeding until at least 6mths old

My 1-month-old niece is growing very fast & they're already putting a small amount of rice cereal in her bottle. The doctor says it's ok

My daughter was even younger than that. Babies will sleep longer with a full belly. You just need a feeder nipple. You can make one yourself by poking a hole in a regular nipple. Make sure it's not too big though. Then add a couple scoops of cereal to her formula. Gracie was about 6 weeks old.

no it is not ok. the baby should be at least 4 months old when starting a feeding and should be begin with egg white ( this will prevent the baby from having allergies to food). Start with easily to digest food like soft veggies and fruits. Besides, the baby on that certain age doesn't have a teeth to chew the rice or any solid food. Wait until at least 4 mos.
