One day I was reading the directory manuals on my laptop and somehow I turned on this Apache monster and it hides in the background...or rather it looms!
I need to know how to remove it and/or the other junk that slows my g4 powerbook down.

First, you could make sure there is nothing loading when you startup the computer...you can do this buy going to the blue apple than system preferences than accounts, click on the account you use, than click on login items....delete anything you don't want starting up.
Next...do a search for apache (with the blue dot on the top right hand of your screen)...find out what folder it's in, than move the whole folder to the trashcan...next, empty the trash can...IF the program was in the login items..you might have to delete it from there, restart your computer than empty the trash...it may not let you empty the trash until it's not running....you can do this with other programs that you no longer want on your computer as well

hope this helps
