This does not go away after high school (sadly)... everyone behaves as if they are in high school (but probably to a less dramatic degree -- I should say just kidding, but honestly there can be high schoolers that behave like adults, and adults that behave like high schoolers). I have had adult friends that cannot coexist. Live your life as if it is your own... it is your own time, manage it between both friends, hand out with both of them separately. If you neglect one, you may lose him or her, but you neglected them; don't let one influence your relationship with the other. Now if your best friend is your significant other, then you should of course work on this a different way (i.e. your life is not exactly as if it is your own if you are REALLY in a relationship).

Then you all better get hang out together. Don't worry, once you graduate high school these problems dissapear.
