In Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Melaka, Cameroh Highlands, Pulau Pangkor, Kota Kinabalu ( Sabah ), Kuching (Sarawak ), Pulau Tioman, Pulau Perhentian markets are open on Saturdays. On Sundays markets in popular tourist locations in these towns remain open too.. some full day and some open in the afternoon. Weekends are even overcrowded in the shopping areas

Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu are the 3 states which observe Friday as a holy Muslim day and a weekend holiday. Markets remain close in the first half of the day on Fridays here.

the super/hypermarket or the Mall is open 12/7 but the shops outside is open 12/6 but some shops open 12/7 depends on what kind of stuff.

u should specify where u planning to go.. but in kuala lumpur, u can shop all day long from 10am till 11-12pm. some of them 24hrs. hv a nice day!

usually the big big stores or shopping malls are open on weekends...only the small stores are closed
