but its such a generalisation, does that make it racist?

Yes it is because you are generalizing a race. There is not one race that has all nice people. Therefore it is racist to make a comment that puts all people of one race into one category even if it is positive.

If you want to call it fair across the board it is if someone said I really dont like indian people they arent nice that would be looked at as a racial generalization positive or negative it doesnt matter

it is Racist and also stupid, because some Indian people are nice and some aren't, and some non Indian people are also nice.

No it isn't. That shows respect and good manners towards another race or culture. Racism deals with not liking another race and saying bad things about them whether it is true or not.

It's a liberalist comment which can be just as ignorant but well intended.
