if you mean on your home network the goto control panel - system and computer name. change the name of the pc and reboot

That means that there are two computers on the network with the same name. It does not mean that your logon ID matches someone else's.
When there are duplicate machine names on a network, you MUST change one of them. You don't have an option with that, one of them has to be changed.

That is not your id, but your computer's id/name when its connected to a MS Windows network. It has nothing to do with your user account at localhost. You can change your computer anytime as long as its not beeing used by any other computer's name in your network. If you insists don't want to change it, ask the administrator to change that other computer's name.

press windows button and pause button at a time.A window popups as the system properties.In that go to computer name and see whether the full computer name is same for all the three pcs..If yes just change them to pc1,pc2,pc3.this will happen mostly if u r ghosting a image directly to the harddisk.

changing ur ip adress really shouldnt matter, mine changes nearly every time i log on. The only other thing u could do is change the other computer's ip adress.
