Original Video Animation
means
that the animation was released straight to DVD / VHS
and not aired on a TV network.

The Love Hina Again OVA is 3 episodes in length, compared to the Love Hina series which was 26 episodes or so when released on TV.
And if you read the manga, there is still story after the OVA.

Original Video Animation (オリジナル・ビデオ・アニメーション, orijinaru bideo animēshon?), abbreviated OVA (オーブイエー, Ōbuiē?), is a term used for anime titles that are released direct-to-video, without prior showings on TV or in theaters. OVA titles were originally available on VHS, though they later became available on other media such as Laserdisc and DVD. OVA is sometimes used, perhaps inappropriately, to refer to any extremely short anime series or special regardless of its release format.

Naruto- A great anime, the animation is fairly smooth and looks fantastic. It has alot of action and interesting characters and storylines. Lucky Star- Great aimation! Very smooth and quite cute. Only avaiable in japanese but you can find episodes with english subtitles on youtube. This show is sorta girly though, so you may not enjoy it.

Original Video Animation. This is a common term referring to animated movies or episodes that were released directly to video without ever being shown on air first. The only way that you could ever see them before is if you bought them because they were never released on television. I hope this helps!!! :)
