Personally I think there are some in the orginazation who genuinely want see that everyone is getting a fair shake, but for the most part it's people with their own agenda and only care about press rather than actually solving problems. What do you guys think?

I think the NAACP does some good things and some bad things.

I also think they try too hard to have a purpose, when most of their battles are already won.

The way the USA is now, I think that minorities have ALMOST a fair shake at things, and if the situation is left alone, equality will be truly real in our lifetimes, but the constant drawing of attention to problems actually makes progress slower.

For instance, the fact that affirmative aciton exists angers a lot of non-minorities and actually serves in many cases to create racism, rather than reduce it.

The purpose of the group had been a noble one at one time, but not any more.

They are just as corrupt as the system they claim to be fighting.

they no longer want to find balance, they want to win.

That's why the moment something happens they scream "RACISM!" before all the facts are presented.

once that charge has been leveled it is almost impossible to get it off, and you can no longer focus on the situation because you are too busy trying to explain how you are not racist.

Yes The NAACP has done great things in the past, but don't let that cloud your view of today.

Today they are greedy, selfish and a perfect example of how to abuse the system and the Media.

The NAACP is as big a racist organization as the Ku Klux Klan. You can't join if you aren't "colored". No caucasions at any level of this "organization", and of course, no Asians, no Latinos, etc.

So yes, they are guilty of the very thing they were organized to fight: Racism.

They do seem to support only Democratic ideas and causes.
If they even pretended to be fair I would have more respect for them, but then again, they are a whole lot smarter than Scottyurb.

As they primarily support Democratic candidates and stand behind issues that face Mainstream America--I have no qualms with the NAACP or it's politics.
