I know I'm not supposed to, but would it be dangerous to my health?

Yes, very dangerous, extremly dangerous, it could be fatal, they tell you not to for a reason, your insides are in a healing process and it takes six weeks. DONT DO IT, IT CAN KILL YOU IN LESS THAN 72 HOURS!!!!!

Any bacteria, anything that is introduced to this basically open wound can cause a horrific infection and you could die. So, it is much better to just wait until you are all healed. If you are being pressured by hubby, pull up stats on the internet of women that die after giving birth from infections... it is scary and preventable. Why would you risk taking your baby's mommy away?

They generally say 6 weeks it depends on your tearing and stitches. if you had severe tearing wait the whole six weeks because yo can re-open a tear. I had a couple of stitches for a grade 1 tear (which is a very small tear) I had sex after 3 weeks and it was fine. If you feel ok and feel ready just take it slowly and if you feel pain at any stage stop straight away. I would wait another week or two just to make sure you are healed it really sucks but your health comes first

Consult a doctor before you decide to have sex. It's usually 6 weeks after having a baby that you can start having sex again.

Did you have a normal delivery or a C-section? Is normal delivery, has your episiotomy healed already? Also, if normal delivery, I think that you still have some vaginal discharge that may not be too appealing to your partner. If your episiotomy has healed and the discharge is ok with your husband then I do not see any problems. For your peace of mind, you might want to ask your OB.

YES!!!! your cervix hasn't completely returned to normal and having sex would expose internal self to infection and irreparable damage. Infection and complications from such are nearly a guarantee and you could not be able to carry future pregnancies full term.

Listen to the doctors and wait. You don't want to take the chance of having any problems.
