In the world's directory, and on official document, we should not mentioned our cast and religion.

I agree that it is not ideal for a government to ask you to state your caste on an official document. I figure they do it though because of policies supposed to help the dalits and Scheduled Castes... and they want to guard against false claims of belonging to those castes.

I don't see why they want you to put your religion on official documents though. People change their religion sometimes, and anyway my religion is none of the gov't's business. They could though let people anser the caste question "not Hindu" without having to say what kind of non-Hindu.
