I read some of the answers. Oh boy, we have come a long way thru intimidation I think and people really not knowing what womens studies are so they make up a really bad supposition.
Womens studies classes are classes to explain womens bodies; empower women to know that they need to try to do more than just sit and wait for a man to do a particular job; let women know its a good thing to be self-supporting and not dependent on a man for all money. Also, it is reading stories about famous women and discussing the pro's and con's. Things like that.It is not men bashing or emasculating in any way.

It sounds like an innocent study into what makes a woman tick, but in reality is a feminist platform to cover any topic which attempts to explain why women have been treated so badly by men since the first day in the garden. An exploration into how women might rise up and revolt against any and all suggestions that they are not, in every manner, equal or superior to men. (othewise known as "Man-bashing 101")
