I benefits both party's thats why, you have managed to impress the person on how clever you are making you feel good, The other person gets their ie, car fixed for FREE and without having to roll around in oil like a fat grease monkey. Doofus.

because you are the man who gets the job done and they dont know any other way to get the chance to hang out with ya,

you da man for da job...... lol same thing happens with my hubby, what they need to realize is that he is a heavy duty mechanic that works on an army base, not much into fixing cars, washing machines and such lol now bring him a tank and he be da man for da job lol

i bet you own tools...and a truck. and, i imagine you got a good heart. it's excellant to be able to fix things...and it's fun too. But, sooner or later, you have to either say "no" or "how much will you pay me for the job."

No matter who you're helping: you're brother, you're sister, your friend, whoever...You gotta learn to say "Can't do it"...not all the time, but definitely once in a while.

Perhaps you know more about the anatomy of the things they are asking you to repair than they do, so they want someone more qualified than themselves to repair it.
