Is it the same as seeing a cute animal?

Update: Everyone is saying something in the lines off "same as what a straight guy/girl would think when he/she saw a beautiful girl/guy. But the difference is the heterosexuals would be a bit envious of someone better looking than them. What about gays though?

Update 2: What I mean is wouldn't the gay guy, when seeing a beautiful women, be indifferent about her looks... since no matter how good looking she is he will never be sexually attracted to her? So good looking (or all) women are a bit like cute animals (with human brains of course)

It goes to the old saying of "beauty isin the eye of the beholder." Just because someone is homosexual does not mean that they do not appreciate physical qualities in the opposite gender. I can see a guy and find him visually appealing yet not be physically attracted to him in a sexual way. And yes, I am a heterosexual male. Just because you are not sexually attracted to a specific gender does not mean you can not find them visually appealing. To see beauty in something is to be able to appreciate its qualities, though the severity of said appreciation varies from person to person, as does their definition of beauty.

Well probably the same thing a woman thinks upon seeing a beautiful woman.I am a heterosexual woman,but I still think other women are beautiful and I don't want them.

my best friend and i had exactly this conversation i am straight and he is gay.
he said it's the same as when a straight guy looks at another man and says he's a handsome man although most men won't admit it, or when a straight girl tells another girl she's beautiful there is no attraction

they probably see the beauty but cos of their sexuality don't fancy what they see. WHO CARES

i was thinkin that last night when a guy friend of mine who is "gay" said he thinks im a really pretty girl!
im sure if he really was gay, would he not think im pretty?
