After the ignoble disgrace of last season I simply stopped watching, after over 30 years of pain, I just couldn't take any more. As I now live in Mexico City, its no problem at all to ignore NHL hockey.

Now you tell me that they are doing good this season? I suppose you think that now I should start following the Canucks again do you? Why? So I can be crushed once more when they again miss the playoffs by a point, or go down like East-Side hookers in the early rounds to the Wild, Coyotes or the Ducks or some other overachieving band of nobodies?

I don't think so, I think I'll just keep avoiding the pain and heartbreak this year and when I hear sometime in late July that the Springfirld Isotopes or the San Antonio Armadillos have managed to win the "Stanley Cup" this year after six months of playoffs, I can sip my expensive tequila and think to myself, "well, isn't that special......"

I'm a bit of a Canuck fan from the East (Sens fan first). I was so disappointed in the game a couple nights ago. I've only seen the Canucks play a couple times on TV this season and never realized how f***ing boring they've become with the new coach. Trap, trap, trap... definitely the New Jersey of the West. At least Ottawa/Calgary was a blast.

So, no, they aren't good at everything.

The Canucks must be attempting to land an NHL franchise. They have pretended to have one for 34 years now. Also the Sedin sisters have become brothers.
The biggest reason is because they finally signed a real goalie. I have always liked Luongo. He "IS" the reason the Canucks can do no wrong. The Canucks are the dark horse team to watch out for this year in the playoffs.

They're not good at everything but they have finally learned that defence can win games. Alain Vigneault deserves a lot of credit, along with Luongo's play. They had a slow start but they are now coming together as a team and starting to play more cohesively. Anytime you change the roster that dramatically it takes a bit of time for the players to adjust.

Early in the season they played hard but didn't get any 'puck luck' but now their hard work is starting to pay off and the luck factor is balancing out as it always does.

HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa.. Gimme a sec. HaHaHaHa. Good one. The Canucknuckleheads have never won anything except for being the first on the tee box every spring. They have had a couple of good runs in the 30 plus years they have been in the NHL and at present are playing some good hockey but good at everything??? Cheer your team on pal, no one has ever won anything in January but if they continue playing the way they have, I am looking forward to them knocking out the Flames(if they make the playoffs). By the way, don't hurt yourself jumping on and off the bandwagon.
