Beckam is old news in England. He's old and washed up. He's only going to America because of his wife wants in with the hollywood scene. B because of the money and c because he's not good enough to play for a european team anymore.

Right let us get this right in America you have football OK but who can play either great big guys or very fast guys who can take the hits basketball very tall and very fast and hand eye feet co-ordination that is unbelievable but now tell me what sport can the rest of your children do eat McDonald's or sit in front of a computer football (have a look at it)encompasses all fat skinny the not so well co-ordinated and the more timid of us and the time period can be either extended say the full 90 Min's or reduced to 30 Min's each way you can play it as 5 aside 6 aside or whatever number you have no one need be left out so get your thinking cap on and let us See if David can bring you into the real world let's hope for you and your children's sakes he succeeds oh I didn't mention base ball well in base ball you are either standing p*****g against the fence or sitting waiting for 1 little chance to lift a bat an exercise sport for all youngsters I think not

Of course retroman is absolutely correct I would also like to add to play a game of football all u need is 4 jackets probably trainers and a ball think well for this is a game everyone can enjoy mums dads uncles everyone plus you do not need expensive gear, skills include hand ball co-ordination hand eye foot co-ordination learn to run without some big ape whacking you oh and team bonding which you don't get in say athletics think on sweet think on you are getting all this from David and no doubt he will attract other stars coming to the end of there careers you really are getting the package on the cheap like retroman says let us hope it works obviously not for the short sighted like yourself but for the majority of youngsters who will take up and enjoy the sport
Just to show you how shallow the American thinking is I was in Vegas last year on hols. and the people were boasting yes boasting that this was the fastest growing city in America JHC it is based on gambling and probably every evil that goes with it and you are boasting when your motor industry is being over ran by the Japanese yeh but we have the fastest growing city in America a desert city in the middle of nowhere based on gambling yep go to it America we are right behind you

I guess Beckham has finally found a country full of people as stupid as he is - saying that he must have at least one more brain cell than the average yank, he managed to persuade you lot that he is worth £128 million.
"we dont even care about soccer in america and we have it as just a kids game for after school."
That pretty much sums up basketball over here...

The real attraction is so obviously the money and bright lights and not because he wants to make soccer more popular, does he really think he has more pulling power than the late great George Best or Pele the two greatest players the world has ever seen........as for her, well where would she be if she was'nt clinging tightly to his arm and posing like some sad has been at every photo opportunity.

American Football and baseball, are not played at all in our schools!
Football is globally, the biggest spectator sport of all time. Unlike, your minority sports. They are only really played in America.
It's funny, that dummy Americans have never heard of him, the rest of the world has!
Ha Ha, if Yanks are willing to pay $250m to a washed out footballer, who can't now get a game in Europe, who has got the last laugh?

You can have him. We don't want him. He's not a has-been, he's a never-was. If you believe he went there to help soccer in the US, you must drink Evian (read it backwards). He's there for the money. He would be back in England if one of the English clubs were stupid enough to pay him that kind of money. He left England originally because he knew he couldn't play here anymore. The game's too fast and physical. The Spanish top league is easier, but he flopped there too. He and his no-talent, wafer thin wife will fit in well in LA. That city is full of plastic, useless people. I do live in England, but I'm American by birth. I'm just glad he didn't go to the Dynamos. Let him ruin another team.

Beckham? Heard he was great at one point in his career, but to tell you the truth..."Football" our "Soccer" is on the rise, however American Football and Baseball overshadow all other sports. The thing that scares me the most is Poker! It is considered a spectator sport too! Regardless, the NFL, MLB, NBA and all other American sport organizations will capitalize none-the-less.
Cheers!
