I work with a woman coworker who started off as a good friend, and when she got a promotion, she thinks she's better than me. She now has a habit of being snappy and throwing temper tantrums. Just today, she threw an object across the room and yelled at me for not telling her I took a lunch break. I did, but she didn't listen to me when I told her I was. My also boss favors her too, but he lectures me for hours. What should I do besides quitting? I already love the field of work I am in.

Don't ever hurt her physically, verbally---you could be sued for human rights abuse. IGNORE HER. dON'T EVEN LOOK AT HER. iF WORK DICTATES THAT YOU COMMUNICATE WITH HER, THEN DO SO, because it has to be done. Instead, make good in your job. Excel. There is nothing more fearful than someone who is good at what she does, and has no faults. If they fire you, then, good, because then you shall be entitled to separation pay. Meanwhile, have your own personal diversions. Enjoy a lot of other things outside work. Make your world colorful Maybe the reason why your coworker is difficult is because she has no life of her own. Don't let her bring you down. Keep your head up. May you be saved from the devils in your office.

Trust me when i say that i know what you are going thru. I had to deal with coworkers like that. I wanted to slap the crap out of them as well, but i knew that i, just like you. would get in a heap of trouble. First of all, document everything that happens, second of all talk with the higher heads. You should not have to go through that kind of abuse ( yes it is abuse). Is there someone ahead of your boss? if so, talk to that person. If for some reason you can not get thru to anyone..either quit or talk to a lawyer. I am not someone who likes to involve lawyers, but if this chick is throwing things, she is making it a very very hard for you to be able to do your job. whatever you do, i wish you the best.

You should only "***** slap" her if you want to be fired and arrested for assault and battery.
If someone threw something at me at work, I'd file assault charges against them in a heartbeat. If she pulls this again, pick up the phone and call 911 immediately. Don't let off on this UNLESS your employer fires her on the spot -- and even then I'd still pursue it.
Personally, if I were in such an opressive work environment, I'd be polishing up my resume and looking for something new.

I have a great problem with bullying and harassment. Go to my psychic profile for the article I wrote on bullying and harassment. Do not quit, but put this person on notice that you do not appreciate the behavior. Go to the employer and tell them if it continues you will sue the living daylights out of them. I am pretty sure you will grab their attention.

I rather believe Icarus, yet i might upload a pair of provisos. i think of that throughout all danger maximum folk contained in the united kingdom are rather atheist or agnostic, yet i think of that a tremendously large share them (particularly older ones) are not extremely conscious of their own agnosticism, and picture they suspect in God. yet then they prove to no longer probable have self belief in any of it and say issues like, "properly, ok, no longer in a strictly literal experience..." I additionally locate that there are magnificent wallet or religiosity, now and lower back particularly severe. those are often no longer very geographically marked, yet they may be. the countless Scottish islands are surprisingly non secular, and sectarianism rears its head in Northern eire and the Glasgow section, which it is extremely useful to call non secular. for many folk that's in all danger in basic terms a controversy of labels, yet i've got self belief it would desire to specially situations inspire religiosity. yet yeah, that's notably hassle-free to be an atheist in Britain. i do no longer think of you have have been given a concern until eventually your loved ones is amazingly non secular. i can't think of it would impression everybody's probabilities of having elected, as i think is the case contained in the U. S.. Being slightly loudly non secular might, in spite of the undeniable fact that.

I wouldn't slap her. You'll just get fired and charged with assault! Are there different departments in your company? If so, maybe you could get moved to one of them so you don't have to deal with her. If not, maybe you can find another company in the same field and go to work for them.
Good Luck!

If they promote people like that I would find another job doing the same thing. Life is too short for that kind of crap.

can you find another job in the field you work in? Sounds like things won't get any better. But remember what goes around comes around.
