I would reveal the discovery to scientist and educators. I would use multi-media to do the reveal w/ some evidence for DNA testing, etc w/o allowing harm to the animal. I would establish an underground system to ensure safety of the dragon using a series of dedicated, caring, trustworthy animal lovers, each only knowing two people in the underground system (the person giving them the information and the person getting the information from them). I would ensure that no harm was brought to the dragon by limiting knowledge of the location to one person. The dragon would be allowed to live in his natural habitat.

Wouldn't it be kewl to have all the fairy tales validated? :-)

First I would tie the dragon down while it was sleeping.
Make sure that its neck was fastened to the ground good and steady.
I would use steaks and rope, pound the wooden steaks around the dragon and then use the rope to tie it down.
Then I would steal a shovel from a nearby farmer.
Dig a big pit directly infront of its mouth.
Next I would find a feild of cattle, and with the remaining rope make a leash and walk the cow back over to my project.
Tie the cow to a nearby tree.
Find a stick to make a roast cow...or a small tree...
Get someone to help me make a roast cow from the village...
....
Then me and my new friend go back behind the dragon, who is still asleep and smack him with a shovel, he wakes up....and catches the cow on fire...
We play some music...its like that "You can dance if you want to" music video...
Theres little people and lutes...
everyones happy...
The end :)

I'd definitely leave the dragon be and try to keep it a secret. I would also want a chance to study it in its natural habitat, but wouldn't interfere. Perhaps I'd even draw or write about the dragon, but pass it off as a complete work of fiction. A la "Gorillas in the Mist".

That would be a hard decision to make....
Either #1 or #2
I would want to reveal it to the world, but I would also be afraid of what the MODERN world might do to it.....
The world has gotten a bit less trusting since the discovery of the Komodo dragons...

I would keep it a secret from the science and government world. Why tell the world they do exist along with other creatures. They have the right to enjoy the world around us, too.

Hehe, find another one if it cant reproduce aesexually. Then breed them, sell a couple to highest bidder and get rich. later, kill the buyers, take the dragons back and, with the money, buy land and have a dragon reserve.

I would keep its species hidden from the scientific community because all they would do is poke and praud at it and then after they are done doing all sorts of tests on it they would kill it to see what is in it that is of course if the tests did not kill it first.

Keep quiet about it. As soon as the secret is out some gun nut would want to go and kill it.
