Yes, I've got a copy of his most famous book, 'The Prophet," The poems were excellent. I recommend it for good reading, and a way to be exposed to Eastern ways of thinking.
He was said to have been a reasonably good artist.

He was a writer and a poet. One of his books is "The Prophet", but if you want a quote, one of my personal favorites of his is "At ebb tide I wrote a line upon the sand, and gave it all my heart and all my soul. At flood tide I returned to read what I had inscribed, and found my ignorance upon the shore."

He was a poet and artist. I can't believe anyne reads that crap. He phrased simplistic thoughts as being both profound and incomprehensible. What an idiot.
