You will need a visa for Zimbabwe (fluctauting depending on your nationality and how they feel at the time) but British people dont need one for South Africa with a British passport. You can buy the Zimbabwe one when you enter the country.

I was out in Zimbabwe a couple of years ago you wont need a visa but you will need a lot of jabs including yellow fever and malaria and may have to pay a small tax when you leave take us dollars with you better than local cash some good places to visit are the Victoria falls and Lake Kariba also Hawange national park you will enjoy it out there go on an early morning safari good time to see lots of animals but will need something warm first thing as it is very chilly early morning

you know what, i'm from Zimbabwe and it pains me to see and hear all this negative stuff people out there keep saying about my country.. yeah fine, there are some minor political issues and all, but otherwise Zimbabwe is a beautiful country, with perhaps the second most developed infrastructure in central and southern africa..

I could go on and on... but look, whats the point...

To answer your question we'd need to know where u are coming from.. but yeah, most visitors would need a visa..

my heart just bled when i read some of the answers people posted...

You will need visa's for both places . I would not recommend Zimbabwe as a place to visit . Please do not support Mugabe's regime. Rather spend all your time in SA . You wont regret it. You will probably have to get up to date immunizations and in some area maleria medications are needed. (this mostly applies to Northern areas of SA.)
Keep reciepts of all your purchuses and you will get the tax back on these if you leave the country before 90 days.
