As often as they mutually consent. Different strokes for different folks. Speaking of which, what position should they use?

I hate these questions--I'm not criticising you putting a question like this on here... I just mean in general, the question of "how frequently should couples have sex". It's almost like there's a 'normal' set number and if you and your partner don't meet that, well then, you're not normal.... now, here's my answer...
Everyone is completely different, what's normal for some may not be normal for others. No situation is better or worse than the next. If a committed, loving couple wants to have sex 3 times a day--great for them. If another committed, loving couple wants to have sex 2-4 times a year and it works for them--well, that's great also. There are actually asexual people out there in committed relationships who have no sex and are more in love than most couples in sexual relationships. There shouldn't be a number on how frequent you SHOULD have sex, you and your partner should do it as often as you want or don't want.

welcome to the club.
The perfumed garden has a good answer that I like that a man should not have so much sex that his health begins to fail and that he feels disapated.
Young men and women physically can orgasm more often then older ones. Women in their 30s although physically aren't as prime as when they were younger are reported to enjoy it more.
Taken to extremes.. the ancient Chinese Taoists felt that there was a finate number to the amount of ejactulations one could have in a lifetime .so they wanted to limit it quite a bit to extend life. but this has not been proven.
Two to Three times a week tends to be a married average of young couples.
This will drop off in time, and probably should not.
I love the line from Anne Hall...
paraphrased.. Woody's character thought they were having way too little sex and his wife felt that they were having way to much sex -- and both agreed they were having sex at about 2 to 3 times a week.

As often as they feel the urge, constrained by social constraints like privacy and respect for the needs of others.
If that's not clear enough...when you're home alone, as often as you like (this varies broadly). When you're in public, get a room.
Twice a month is probably not enough, twice an hour might be difficult to keep up.

Well if their married 2-3 times a week. I think that is a steady amount. That way they won't get tired of each other. They both should go to the Hustler store and buy massaging oils and toys etc to spice things up

It depends on you and your partner I mean mutual understanding.Concern also plays a role in it.The more you love the more intimacy you may like to have.

it is on a "case to case" basis, depending on their needs. but it is still healthy to have it 3-4 times a week

There is no set guidelines to how often you should have sex. Have it when you and your partner want it.
