American should stop thinking this. They should really think for third option. Both these parties are in essence same. These parties are made so that americans would feel that they have options to select a presidents. But in fact, they have just same policy on all nationa and international affairs.

Unless the Republicans can find a very strong candidate who can attract not only some Democrats, but Republicans who have been turned off by Bush, I don't think they have a shot in hell.
At this point I think John McCain is the Republican's best chance. In fact, I would seriously consider voting for him even though he is a Republican. I think he is a stand-up guy and the fact that his sons are actually serving in the military right now speaks volumes about his character.
I don't think Rudy Giuliani would be a very strong candidate right now for the Republicans. Many people admire his leadership of New York following 9/11, but I think the nation is fed up with having 9/11 used as a political tool. Beyond 9/11, I don't think most people really know much about Giuliani.
One thing is certain. The Republicans are going to be on the defensive in 2008. The Democrats are going to be holding up George Bush as an example of Republican leadership and every Republican candidate is going to have to account for everything they rubber stamped for Bush over the last 6 years.

I can only hope we have a president who will concentrate on winning the war on terror. Keep our taxes low and otherwise get the heck out of my private life. But I don't think such a creature exists. As far as government goes and it's bloated bureaucracies I can't tell one party from the other. So it really dosen't matter who it is.

unfortunately we will if an African American or a Woman runs against the Republican. America is not ready for an African American or a Female President even though they would be the best candidate for the job there are way too many ignorant voters in our country.

I do, especially if Hillary runs. We are not ready for a female president! I ONLY say this because many of the coutries we have "issues" with don't respect women and think that women are beneath men. I personally think (in most cases) a women could do better, but you won't see my name on the ballot! :)

We will have another Republican President. It probably will not be next time, but we will have another one someday.
