As long as your ready emotionally and your careful. i don't see whats wrong with it.
Alot of people will tell you someone will get pregnant or you ll get an std or aids and theres a good chance you wont. You should both be tested for both just to be sure but sex isnt going to lead to a baby or a disease.
You'll probably not end up regretting it ever either, but as long as your ready.

My best advice: Stay celibate till marriage. But times are changing and sexual pressures are increasing. So if you really want to, 16 is actually not that bad of an age to have sex at. One thing you might want to try is to set a goal for yourself. If you're having doubts, tell yourself that you're not going to have sex until you're 17 or 18. And just stay with that promise. My friend did that for 16 and lost her virginity to someone she really loves.
P.S. It is not illegal. The only way it is illegal is if it is an 18+ year old having sex with a 17- year old. And if you go to buy OTC contraception and the clerk doesn't want to let you, he is not allowed. It is illegal to refuse minors the purchase of contraceptives. If he tries, tell him so and demand that he let you. If he still denies you, ask to talk to the manager. And you're not required to let your parents know either. Lastly, the mother has the final decision in what happens to a baby if a baby is conceived. Not the parents.

Getting sex at 16 is ok if and only if you are emotionally and physically ready for it.
Teenage is a stage in which a person seeks excitement in almost everthing. It's a stage when your are mentally raring to go for your desires. Some do it, some hide thier desires.
It's just like participating in a sporting event.
1> You need to know how to play.
2> You need to be physically ready for it.
At this age, normally your body is under development. You biology is under random transit. Specially that of a girls body. So one needs to be very careful while performing sex at teens. Wrong approaches and wrong moves may affect their biological growth and there biological cycle.

As long as it is consensual (both giving consent) and they are using proper forms of birth control the only reprocussions (bad things) that could occur could be not being physically or emotionally ready for sex. Or a break-up afterwards. Mostly emotional problems as long as you are taking steps to have safe sex.

thats when i started, and i'm fine. but that's me, you need to judge for yourself whether your are ready. if not, don't push it. you'll know when you're ready. just be sure to always use protection no matter what, be careful who you sleep with, and understand that even you if use protection, it is still possible to get a girl pregnant. also, don't ever have sex with a girl who has been drinking, or anyone under the age of 18 once you are 18 yourself.

None if u r married many if u r not. He can go to jail for statutory raped consented or not. U can be ordered to have an abortion if for any reason u get pregnant ur parents have the right to decide what happens to u. Or they can choose to let u have the baby and put it up for adoption in many states. Unwed sex is a sin against God, a mortal sin at that. Pls wait honey u really ain't missing that much and ur reputation will only be compromised by the sick dog that wants ur beautiful young body.

I don't know...CAN you get physical at 16? I'm not going to say it's right or wrong however I CAN say it's not all that smart, especially if you don't KNOW what the consequences of having sex are...

I assume you probably know the Christian view of your question..and I agree with that view, but let me give a different perspective. One of the most precious things you can ever give your future spouse is your purity; the knowledge that he/she is your first, and that you are not 'spoiled' or 'used' goods. It's a bummer when your spouse whispers in your ear in an intimate setting that 'you are the ONLY one I have ever had' and you cannot reciprocate. You show a huge amount of character and respect for yourself and the person you are tempted to have sex with if you wait for marriage. Besides, if you sleep with a sexually active person, realize that you are sleeping with every other person that has had sex with that person...think STDs!

You could have sex at 16 but it is frowned on. Your too young. If your partners are 18 or older and your parents found out, those people would probably go to jail because your a minor. I advise you to wait untill your married.
