there is a saying about left-handed people that they die faster than right-handed people, i really want to know if that's true or it's just a joke.

I heard that too, but i also heard that most left-handed people die using right-handed objects (i.e. scissors for right-handed people)

Left handed people are the only ones in their right mind! It is true left handed people use the right side of their brain, left handed people use the left side of their brain. It is an Old Wives Tail, NO left handed people do not die faster then right handed people.

It is called twisting statistics.
Anyone can find any statistic to support any claim.
There is an old book from 30 years ago call "Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics". The book gives a detailed discussion on the art of twisting statistics to say "anything".
The new version of the book is called 'Lies, Damn Lies, Statistics and the Internet", because the Internet had not yet been invented 30 years ago.
Just one example.
The word "average" can indicate the mean, the median, or the mode of somthing. All three are conceptually correct uses of the word "average".
The same information can yield three different numbers depending on which average the statment is referencing.
The person stating the average might be using the median, without stating it. They are using the "median" average to twisting things because everyone commonly considered the word average to mean the "mean". These can be two very different numbers.

I'm trying to figure out where that came from... I've never heard it before. From reading the other replies, I wouldn't think that right- and left-handed people only use the one side of their brains, becuase I thought that one side (I can't remember which is which now) is used for mathematical sorts of things, while the other is used for creative sorts of things. So I guess, if you think about it, everyone uses both sides of their brains, so what would it matter the had you are dominate with?

Well I have never heard of that but if you have a Left handed and a right handed person both standing on a corner and two gang banger come up to them and holds guns to their heads and they both fire at the same exact time, does it matter?

It's just a joke.My grandpa was left handed and he died when he was 90. I'm also left handed and I don't have any problems because of that..I haven't heard this before but it sounds like a very stupid joke.

i suppose it could b true as the left arm is where strokes come from and if u r a lefty, then u r using it more therefore wearing it out faster, sounds good to me.
