Do young people now days have a sex drive? I have a son 24 and a daughter 21. My son had a girl friend in high school, but since then he has not dated anyone. As far as I know my daughter has not ever had a boyfriend. Do other parents notice anything like this? It is certainly a contrast to the way I behaved at that age. I guess I am grateful that my children did not get involved in intense relationships at 15, but I would like to think I might be a grandfather one day.

My daughter (21) dates but she doesn't have a "steady" boyfriend. she doesn't want one. She has been focusing on her education (carries a 4.0 in college taking 18 units this semester) and for me I figure it's HER life and HER right to decide whether she gets involved with someone or not.

I had a sex drive when I was in my teens but that was because I had sex when I was younger. Your children probably did not have sex young if they have at all so that may affect this. But perhaps your children are independent and do not want to have a significant other at the moment. Most college aged students enjoy dating and not getting into serious relationships.

sex has become scary for kids nowadays. in the '70's you could go at it like a rabbit with anything that moved, but now kids grow up with the idea that sex can lead to dibilitating and fatal diseases.kind of takes the fun out of it.

maybe they are gay. i am not being rude, but it is a possibility. or it may also be that in todays society and and the way the world is so screwed up and so many viruses such as HIV , that your children are amongst the very rare part of that generation who are actually very very very smart. Maybe they want to be financially stable and think of themselves first, before getting into a serious relationship. Which would be very smart.

With all the issues that young adults have now, it is hard to actually find a decent person to be with. It is just too much stuff happening from cheating, HIV/AIDS, and drama. They're fine.

I wouldn't worry too much, people dont get married as young as they did years ago, they are more career minded now.
