ok, so I'll be finished with grad school classes in a year and will have the option to basically move anywhere for an internship. I've thought a lot about moving to chicago, but now I'm thinking that maybe I should consider some other places as well. here are the things that I'm looking for in a a new location:

-good public transportation/train system (I want to be able to get places easily without driving a car)
-culturally diverse
-lots of interesting stuff to do for someone in their 20's

ha, thats about it. I'm really open to anywhere right now so please suggest a place, and also tell me *why* it'd be a good place to live.

thanks!!

Washington, D.C. and ride the Metro. Personal experience without a car at times there, and every nation in the world has reps there, so the culture is as International as it gets.

Numerous opportunities to see museums, significant landmarks, and other things that frankly you won't have time to stand and observe and read alot about when you're older and kids are dragging you through what they think are boring sites.

Downtown portland has a good public transportation system. It's fairly clean and plenty of diversity.

Hawaii, expensive to have a place, but fabulous in every other way, public transport's great on Oahu, not so great on the others.

chinatown, japantown, are somewhat famous
this city is surrounded by 3 side of bodies of water
