I'm thinking about adding a Baron or MaxAir Air filter (along with the new jets) to my bike. Will it make a noticable difference in power and torgue? Will it cut down my mpg? Suppose I just put in a K&N air filter? Will I notice any diffeerence in power, torgue, and/or gas consumption? Do you have to re-jet if after installing a K&N Air Filter?

no you dont need to rejet unless you pipe the bike,ad after market x-haust.re-jetting youre bike will make a noticeable differtence, however,if all youre doing is rejetting it,there is a possibility,w\out other mods it may hinder youre performance,by running it to rich.if youre looking for quick, noticable power improvements,i would start with aftermarket exhaust,re-jett,then go with air filter.k&n is a very wise choice.this will give you alot of low end torque as well as power increase throught youre rpm range.not to mention the sound improvement, and added looks.good luck.you will notice a slight change in mpg.that will depend on how in depth you go if it will be better or worse

There won't be any noticeable change in performance with just an air filter. With a filter and jet kit, you'll get a few more HP - but with a bike that size it probably wouldn't be noticeable. The engine won't have to work as hard to get up to speed, so you'll see a little increase in MPG

An OEM replacement K&N won't change anything, but any time you increase the flow of air, you must compensate by rejetting the carbs.
Our shop put Kuryakyn Hyperchargers on VStars, Vulcans and Harleys. They seem to be an effective modification.
