who has the best rates, is there better than 5.5% on cd's, savings or money market/ mutual fund accounts?

I've linked to a web site that tracks the best CD, Money Market and Savings account interest rates. They sometimes find CDs that pay 6% or even higher with special offers.

As for mutual funds, those will not have any guaranteed returns, even if they are bond funds. I had an International Stock fund that made over 30% in 2006, due to stock gains and a stronger foreign currency. But as I said, it's impossible to predict future returns. I think a good international stock fund with stocks in Europe and asia will do well in 2007, but that's only my opinion.
