If i gram stain a mixed culture of Staphylococcus epidermidis and Escherichia coli what is the end result?

Not sure is it pink or blue?

Staph is a gram positive cocci, so it would be purple. E coli is a gram negative short rod, so it would be pink. Therefore, a mixture of the two would give you both purple and pink!

You'll see small blue/purple diplococci and red/pink rods.
