Yes, we are slowing committing suicide. How GREAT! No outside nations need attack us. We are killing ourselves from within. Gluttony is but one of our sins of choice. How about illegal drugs? How about homosexuality? How about promiscuous lifestyles that spread disease & destroy families? How about violence in our schools? How about road rage? The list just goes on & on.
