I found $2,000.00 once, in a bank bag, on the seat of a buggy at WalMart....there was no ID with the bag, & the money was still wrapped...at first I didnt want to touch it out of fear that it might not have been "good" money....then I did touch it...lol...
I was thinking I was going to keep it..it would have been a HUGE help...but as I was conteplating this....an elderly lady came up to me & started gushing about how grateful she was that I had found her money & she was going crazy looking for it...
I asked her if she could tell me the amount that was in there...& kind of like a description thing..& she laughed & told me it was $2,000.00 still wrapped....she had just gotten it out of her vault & it was her retirement money...she was taking it to some place she was going to live in...some kind of retirement community....it was her deposit....lol..
After handing it over to her...she gave me a $20.00 "reward" for being so honest.....
It felt good to give back to her....
I have found small amounts like $40.00 here...or $20.00 there....laying on the ground...or in the stores...they stay with me though...lol

More than once, I found $20 on the floor of a bar. I kept it each time since no one said anything about missing $20.
Someone I know found $9000 in a dumpster. I'm not making this up, I was there when it happened. There was no way to find the owner so he kept the money.

I found a $50 dollar bill sitting next to me at a bar once, the bar tender said it must be mine, I kept it, lots of drinks for me that night, because I walked out of the bar, (while stumbled a little bit, cause I drank a few before I found it), hurried to the liquor store before anyone could claim it, and bought a case of Captain Morgan's rum, stumbled home carrying a full case of Captain Morgan's rum, and drank about a pint once I got home.

I found $500 on a class trip at Cedar Point (wedged in the seat on the Magnum roller coaster). I was in the 8th grade. No, I didn't return it. It was just a wad of bills. No ID. But I bought souveniors for myself and all my friends.

You lucky person. The most I've found was about $40 dollars in quarters at the casino. Someone had left it in their machine and walked off and left it.
My mother found $100 once.
